A vision for human-centred technology

How can technology support care while keeping it human? Across three evenings, we brought together the wishes and concerns of clients, staff and parents as the basis for a vision and multi-year plan.

The brief

At Philadelphia in Nunspeet, people were concerned that technology could make care feel impersonal. The question was where technology could help, where risks might arise and what was needed to keep care human.

Three perspectives

Across three evenings, we explored this through different brainstorming methods. Clients shared how they wanted to use technology and were open to many possibilities. Staff wanted support with their work to create more time for personal contact. Parents raised concerns about online safety and protecting vulnerable people from exploitation and abuse.

My contribution

Facilitating sessions, bringing wishes and concerns together, and translating the different perspectives into a vision and multi-year plan for human-centred technology.
