Order-to-Pay LEGO game

A LEGO simulation to kick off a procurement change programme. Different roles, partial information and recognisable bottlenecks helped employees discover the parallels with their own organisation.

The brief

How do you involve employees in the kick-off of a procurement change programme? I used a LEGO simulation to let them discover the bottlenecks themselves.

The game

Each participant received a role, such as builder or buyer, and only part of the information. Illegible forms, incorrect materials, excess stock without storage space and waiting for deliveries made process dependencies tangible.

What it sparked

Participants were keen to get started with LEGO. As they played, they drew parallels with their own organisation and identified the problems themselves. The game helped shape the conversation about change.

My contribution

Building and facilitating the LEGO simulation for Croonwolter&dros, through Proexc, as the starting point for the change programme.
